Far From Here Trailer

Ahoy, ahoy.

So I’ve been home for a week and I should have posted several times in the past few days. I do, of course, have an impending book release, and theory has it that if I talk about Far From Here enough you might actually be tempted to buy it. I’d like to see the stats on that little theory… Anyway, I thought I was totally fine after my fifteen hour transatlantic flight from Liberia, but by mid-Tuesday jet lag slammed me so hard I barely knew which way was up. I’m still recovering. Falling asleep in the afternoon and finding myself bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at the ungodly hour of 3 a.m. Needless to say, my blog suffered. My children suffered. My carefully laid out meal plan suffered. I think we had pizza three times this week. Oops. I did, however, manage to play the female protagonist in a short movie for a film challenge, and refinish one of my end tables in a distressed Pottery Barn blue. Okay, that sounds bizarre even to me…

But I digress. It’s time to get serious about Far From Here. Seriously. I promise. I love this book, I really do, and though all of my books are like my children, this one has special significance. I could write all about it, but I think I’ll let you see for yourself. Thanks to the ever-talented Todd Montsma, I have a pretty amazing book trailer to share with you. I hope you love it. And I hope you’ll stop back in the coming weeks as I get over my jet lag and spend more time blogging about books, Africa, life with boys, and the unique joy of blending it all together…
