Loving Liberia

As some of you know, several years ago my husband and I founded a non-profit organization (One Body One Hope) that works alongside a church and orphanage in Monrovia, Liberia. And, as some of you also know, Aaron just returned from a two-week trip to West Africa. And I haven’t even blogged about it! What’s wrong with me?! Anyway, without further ado, a few photos to give you a glimpse of his trip.

My favorite photos are candids of the kids. Aren’t they gorgeous?

The view from the guesthouse where our team stayed. Third world country or tropical paradise? Both?

These are the girls of Christ Our Hope in front of the new dormitory that our team completed on their trip.

Here is my dad with one of the girls from the orphanage. My husband, dad, aunt, and uncle all got to go to Liberia this year. Me? I stayed home. I had my own kids to tend.

Just for fun… Can you guess what this is? I’ll post the answer in comments later.

When the shipping container showed up on-site, the kids broke into song and dance. Talk about praise!

This is one of my favorite photos. I just think it’s adorable.
